The Nicomp N3000 is a nanoparticle size analyzer. It is based on the well-known technique of Dynamic Light Scattering or DLS .

Dynamic Light Scattering is an ideal method for sizing proteins, colloids, emulsions, nanoparticles, CMPs, inkjet inks,and a variety of other dispersions used in nanotechnology and medicine.

The Nicomp N3000 has been designed using a flexible approach so that the instrument can be customized for a wide variety of applications. This customizability even allows for the addition of Electrophoretic Light Scattering or ELS to measure zeta potential and Multi-angle Static Light Scattering for molecular weight determination. This makes the Nicomp N3000 a three-dimensional tool for the full analysis of proteins and other complex biomolecules.

The Nicomp N3000 features the high-resolution, multimodal Laplace transform called the Nicomp algorithm for sizing. The Nicomp algorithm, over the years, has demonstrated a superior ability to detect and separate multimodal distributions as well as primary peaks from aggregate peaks.
